Excitement is also building for the much-loved Dowling Street Christmas Party, scheduled for Friday, November 28, from 4 pm to 7 pm and into the night. This year’s theme, ‘Aussie Christmas,’ promises a vibrant celebration with bright shirts, dresses, shorts, and thongs setting the tone. The CBD will transform into a festive wonderland, with the street closed to traffic from 3 pm to 7 pm, thanks to the support of Dungog Rotary. Families can look forward to free entertainment, activities, late-night shopping, stalls, a free movie at the James Theatre, and performances by local schools. It’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season and celebrate the unique charm of our Shire.
