The Clarence Town Progress Association (CTPA) is gearing up for a busy year in 2025, with several key projects aimed at enhancing local amenities and services.
One of the standout initiatives is the installation of new exercise equipment stations at the Village Green, promoting health and wellness within the community. These stations, complete with soft fall matting for safety, are expected to be delivered in 2025.
Another development is the plan for a community gym. A draft concept for this much-needed facility will be completed by mid-2025, with funding options explored later in the year. This new space will provide residents with a dedicated place for fitness and well-being
The CTPA is also finalizing plans for the Clarence Town Mountain Bike Trails, which promise to offer an exciting new recreational opportunity for locals and visitors alike. With the concept set to be completed soon, we’re eager to see how this project will boost outdoor activities and attract more visitors to the area.
In addition to these new developments, ongoing upgrades to The Sentinel will ensure it continues to serve as a vital communication tool for the community. We are committed to keeping this resource up to date and relevant to residents’ needs.
The CTPA is also focused on improving key public spaces. The Village Green and Wharf Reserve are at the heart of our community, and we’re focused on ensuring these spaces remain well-maintained and accessible. Plans are in place to improve the footpath linking the Village Green to Wharf Reserve, with construction beginning in 2025.
We’re also working to secure essential health services for the community, ensuring residents have access to the care and support they need for a healthy future.
Lastly, local tourism continues to be a focus, with ongoing efforts to promote attractions like Mount Gilmour Lookout, the Williams River Holiday Park, and Wallaroo National Park. By supporting these natural gems, we aim to boost tourism and benefit local businesses.
With all these exciting plans in motion, 2025 is shaping up to be a transformative year for Clarence Town. We’re committed to enhancing the health, well-being, and overall quality of life for everyone in the community.
If you’re interested in getting involved, we meet on the first Thursday of the month, 6.30pm at the Clarence Town Community Centre (starting 6th February).
