Small School, Massive Impact
Term 2 has been a busy and exciting time at Glen William Public School. We are proud to share some wonderful achievements, activities, and opportunities with our community!
Small School Sports Carnival – A Winning Effort
This term, Glen William Public School competed in the local Small School Sports Carnival. Our students showed fantastic teamwork, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm throughout the day. Their hard work and training paid off, and the school was crowned the overall winner. Congratulations to Vinnie who received the Junior Boys Age Champion Medal and to Dezzy who received the Senior Boys Age Champion medal. This is a huge achievement for our students, staff, and community, and we congratulate everyone who participated, supported, or cheered from the sidelines.
State Swimming Championships
Congratulations to our small school’s relay team, who represented the Hunter region at the NSW State Swimming Championships in Sydney. Dezzy, Jason, Vinnie & Annabel who made up the team worked tirelessly in the lead-up to the event. Their commitment was rewarded when they smashed their personal best time by 20 seconds—a remarkable improvement! They proudly placed 14th in the state, proving that effort and school spirit do make a difference. We are so proud of you all!
Game Jam – Digital Creativity Unleashed
Students took part in a special Game Jam Day, where they got creative by building their own video games using the Make Code platform. This hands-on activity encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and thinking outside the box. Students designed characters, wrote storylines, and programmed game mechanics. Some of the games created included adventure platforms and puzzle games.
ANZAC Dawn Service – Honouring Traditions
Our school community attended the ANZAC Dawn Service at Clarence Town. Students respectfully participated in the ceremonies, laying wreaths and listening to stories of local veterans. This experience helped them connect with our community’s history and understand the importance of remembrance and gratitude. P
BL Podcast – Sharing School Values
As part of our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) initiative, students have been producing a regular podcast. These demonstrate our PBL Values and expectations across our school.
Sports and Dance with Miss Libby
Sport continues to be an important part of school life. This term, students are enjoying dancing lessons with Miss Libby, learning fun routines, developing new skills, and building confidence. Physical activity is linked to happier learning, and we love seeing everyone stay active.

Our Breakfast Club welcomes students every morning before school starts. It’s a place to enjoy a nutritious meal, connect with friends, and prepare for a day of learning.
