Glen William Public School: Term 3 & Term 4 Highlights

Glen William PS has enjoyed a busy and rewarding period with memorable experiences and notable achievements.

At the end of Term 3, students visited the culturally significant Baiame Caves, guided by Elders who shared stories about the site’s ancient Aboriginal rock art and its ongoing connection to Country. This excursion deepened their respect and understanding of Aboriginal culture and history.

Term 4 kicked off with great success at the Rolling Hills Film Festival. The Primary Class won the Spirit of the Festival Award for their creativity and teamwork, while the Infants Class earned Best Animated Film, showcasing impressive storytelling and animation skills.

In sports, Dezzy represented the school at the Tamworth Interschool Horse Spectacular, demonstrating outstanding horsemanship over five days and achieving personal milestones.

Touch Football Team Climbs to Fourth in the State!
In the realm of sports, Glen William’s Touch Football team has made a remarkable mark by securing 4th place in the NSW State Finals. The tournament tested our students’ stamina, skill, and strategic thinking as they faced off against some of the state’s best teams. Despite challenging weather conditions, including intense heat, and coping with a few injuries, our team demonstrated exceptional teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. Their performance was characterised by strong communication on the field, precise passing, and relentless defence. This achievement reflects months of training, dedication, and community support.

The entire school community celebrates this success, which inspires future athletes to embrace sport with passion and perseverance.

Additionally, the Primary class enjoyed a camping trip to Bathurst filled with outdoor learning and team-building activities, promoting independence and school spirit.

These achievements and experiences reflect the hard work, creativity, and resilience of our students and staff. Glen William PS is proud of their commitment both inside and outside the classroom
