
By the time you read this, Halloween will have been promoted once again at the Museum with James, Justine, and (baby Alex) Talevski and their spectacular display.
Ann Boyton’s beautiful, candid and relaxed oral history was recorded with Heather Kilpatrick and Sue Shillington on some of our new equipment. Ann is a long-serving resident of this district. It’s vital we capture the human dimension and so develop a full comprehension of our past.
The Tenth Annual Clarence Town Military Muster held from Friday 31st October till Saturday 1st November will see the Museum open so those involved can also visit.
A recent query about the beginnings of the Williams River Holiday Park involved some research which reveals that the first gazetting of a reserve, where the caravan park is, occurred on 10th January 1903,with more land added in 1959 and 1975 to create today’s 112 sites.
