Christ Church, Dungog
Dowling Street, Dungog

Service Times: Every Friday 10.30am, Sunday 8.30am
Sunday night service: 4th Sunday of every month at 5pm

The year is flying by! We’re already ordering our mangoes for delivery at the end of November and can’t wait.

The Church is busy gathering goods to fill shoeboxes for the Seafarers in December. We provide 24 boxes to a ship, filled with goods like beanies, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, socks, torches, batteries, razors, pens and paper, lollies (no chocolate), small games – the list goes on. Any leftovers are given to the Seafarers in Newcastle to distribute in bags for others. We have a lovely lady who covers the shoeboxes in Christmas paper, and a car or two is loaded with goods for transport to Newcastle in early December.

We will soon be collecting goods for the Samaritans which is toys for the young ones and any other goods for the older ones needing Christmas gifts.

Now that we do not have a full time priest at the moment we are using some volunteers for some of the services. We still have 10.30am on Friday, Sunday at 8.30am and the 4th Sunday at Dungog we have a 5pm service.

Bishop Sonia did the First Sunday at Bendolba in October. That is also at 5pm. The November service out there will be run by Parishioners, but of course they have fellowship afterwards.

Cuppa N Chat continues each Friday 9.30 to 11am and the Op Shop is open each Friday 8am to 2pm and the First Saturday 8am to 12.30 along with the Markets on that day. We usually get 15 to 20 stalls each month.

Blessings to all.
Margaret Flannery
