36 Grey St, Clarence Town

Pastor: Rev Beatrice Pate

Service Times: Every Sunday, Holy Communion at 10.30am, followed by morning tea.

The next couple of months are going to be very busy for us as we prepare for our 120th birthday for St. John’s. This present church was dedicated on 16th August, 1906 and is an amazing accomplishment for the time. It was built to replace an old timber church, built in 1852 and was burnt down in 1906. Our service on the day (16th August, 2026) and actually a Sunday, will be at 10.30am followed by a lunch in our church hall. It is a very exciting time for us to be the beneficiaries of such a legacy. It is also wonderful to have our stained glass window restored and back in place for this occasion. Hopefully this will be a time for friends past and present to come along to give thanks and to remember times spent in this lovely church. We have been having some much-needed renovations done to our Rectory with flooring and tiling and this has been done by Patrick Day and he has done a fantastic job. Thank you Patrick. Our Holy Communion services are at 10.30am each Sunday morning, and you would be most welcome.
