Making Moves: Strategic Plans, the New Bridge, and Knockout Wins

School Plan 2026-2029

We are excited to introduce our School Excellence Plan, which guides our ongoing commitment to providing the best educational experience for every student. Our plan focuses on two key strategic directions: ‘Student Growth and Attainment’ and ‘Responsive Learning.’ These priorities ensure that we support each child’s individual progress while creating a flexible and engaging learning environment that meets their unique needs. Together, we look forward to fostering success and a love of learning in our school community.

Clarence Town bridge opening

Our school leaders were excited to be invited to the opening of the new Clarence Town bridge! They joined in the official ribbon cutting ceremony and were among the first group of people to walk the bridge before it opened to traffic. Thank you for being such wonderful representatives of Clarence Town Public School.

Mother’s Day celebrations

Thank you to all the mums and special people who joined us for afternoon tea and activities. The students enjoyed making sweet treats to share with you and spending time having fun and pampering their special ones. It was wonderful to see everyone celebrating together, and we appreciate your involvement in making the event a lovely time for all. Once again, a big thank you to the P&C for organising and running another very successful Mother’s Day stall.

Debating and public speaking success

The CTPS debating team have experienced success against local schools this term! Evie, Digby, Millani and Levi have had two wins and are hopeful to come away with another win against Seaham PS towards the end of the term. Aria, Lillea, Evie and Melissa represented CTPS at the local final of the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition at Marylands Public School, with Aria being awarded a ‘Highly Commended’. Thank you to Miss Bultitude for the fantastic preparation of these teams.

Sport report

CTPS PSSA Touch football team progressed to round 3 of the 2026 knockout after a last minute try against Seaham PS. They played some great round games, finishing against a talented Dungog side, in a close and exciting match! Congratulations to Lewis and Evie, who represented the Port Stephens Zone at the Hunter Regional Cross Country event, held at Broadmeadow Racetrack.
