On behalf of the executive, I would like to thank members of our community for their support in the past twelve months.
The Clarence Town Progress Association has continued its advocacy and liaison role for Clarence Town including submitting a concept plan for a Gym Development and Operation to Dungog Shire Council, responses to Clarence Town Structure Plan and Street Master Plan, and numerous letters of support for grants to various groups. We continue to pursue opportunities for bike trail development in our local area.
The CTPA provided major financial support for the 2024 Clarence Town Community Day plus donations to the RFS Santa Run, Senior Citizens for a commercial dishwasher and ancillary works, Clarence Town Public School P&C for a hall projector and sound system, the Children’s Christmas Colouring Competition,
Public Notice Board and boxing equipment for a youth engagement program. We partnered with DSC financially to provide Exercise Stations installed on the Village Green.
This year the Sentinel went online and printed in full colour with a great response from advertisers and readers alike. Our thanks to editor Cathy Schneider for her sterling work.
Since July 2024 to the 30th September 2025 the Association has expended in excess of $103,000 on these activities.
Finally special thanks to our secretary Rob Auer who is not seeking re-election. Rob’s expertise, motivation and hard work have been greatly appreciated and will be missed.
John Moyes, President
